[3-26-21] “Hacking Insider Risk” – CISO Series Video Chat

Please join us on Friday, March 26th, 2021 for “Hacking Insider Risk: An hour of critical thinking on the unnecessary corporate risk introduced by non-malicious employee behavior”.

Employees can be your greatest asset. Simultaneously, in an effort to do their jobs, they unknowingly can be a significant source of corporate risk. They sure don’t want to be the problem and neither does the security department. Thankfully, both parties want to achieve improved security, yet the problem still persists. What should we do?

Let’s spend an hour discussing various solutions that have worked and those that haven’t worked.

Joining me for this discussion will be:

In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:

  • How has managing insider risk been handled in the past and how do we want to approach it differently?
  • What are the most common ways critical data leaves the corporate environment?
  • What mechanisms (DLP) have been put in place to prevent corporate data from leaving?
  • What types of problems can DLP introduce?
  • What about security awareness training? What works/doesn’t work?

It all starts at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern. At the end of the hour [11 AM Pacific/2 PM Eastern] we’ll switch gears into a series of impromptu 1-on-1 five-minute meetings where everyone will be randomly paired. Nothing to prepare, we’ll do the matching.
