CISOs Don’t Want to Click on Your “Request a Demo” Button

The “Request a Demo” button. They’re proliferating on security vendor sites like weeds. If the vendor knows how to conduct a demo, one would think they’d also be able to record a demo and want to put it up there so more people can see.

But CISOs avoid that “Request a Demo” button because they are ALL AWARE of what the hidden agenda is. All the CISO wanted was to see a demo of the product. Now a “Request a Demo” form forces a meeting and sends them into a sales and marketing funnel they didn’t want to be a part of. All they wanted to do was watch a video.

Watch this video and hear from security leaders Jimmy Sanders of Netflix DVD, Ty Sbano of Vercel, and Marnie Wilking of Wayfair as they talk about the “Request a Demo” button and how they’d wish security vendors would engage.

And please tune into CISO Series’ latest show, Capture the CISO, where all vendor contestants are required to upload a demo video for everyone to see.
