As we’re coming on our third anniversary of the CISO/Security Vendor Relationship Podcast my co-host Mike Johnson and I have a question for you, is the relationship between security practitioners and vendors improving, and how?
This was our primary mission when we started the podcast three years ago. At that time, so much of the public discourse between CISOs and vendors was caustic. You’d go to a panel of CISOs at a conference and they would just trash the vendor community mostly for their use of FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) to sell their products. Mike admitted he was a part of it.
In a week we’re planning on recording a show with your feedback, and we’d like to know if you’ve seen a change in relationships. We want viewpoints and anecdotes from both practitioners and vendors.
But you don’t need to limit your response to that. We cover so many topics in cybersecurity on our show, so we’d like to know what’s on your mind.
Plus, we want critical comments. I’m eager to hear what you think we’re doing wrong or what we’re not doing enough of.
